Supermarket Belongs to the Community

Supermarket belongs to the community. While Chef has the responsibility to keep it running and be stewards of its functionality, what it does and how it works is driven by the community. The chef/supermarket repository will continue to be where development of the Supermarket application takes place. Come be part of shaping the direction of Supermarket by opening issues and pull requests or by joining us on the Chef Mailing List.

chef-apt-docker Cookbook

Build Status Cookbook Version

Configures the official Docker apt repository

Requirements

Platforms

  • Debian
  • Ubuntu

Chef

  • Chef 12.9+

Cookbooks

  • none

Attributes

  • node['chef-apt-docker']['components'] - repository components to configure. Default to ['main']. Other options are experimental and testing. Component must be an array of strings even if only a single component.

Usage

Simply add recipe[chef-apt-docker] to a run list. Change the component if you want testing / experimental releases

Note: Debian 7 requires the wheezy-backports repository be setup to fully satisfy requirements of the docker packages. This cookbook does not handle that, but you will need to setup that repository if running Debian 7.

Note: As of version 2.0 of this cookbook installs docker-ce instead of docker-engine as Docker renamed the free Docker products to Docker Community Edition (CE) in 2017.
