Supermarket Belongs to the Community

Supermarket belongs to the community. While Chef has the responsibility to keep it running and be stewards of its functionality, what it does and how it works is driven by the community. The chef/supermarket repository will continue to be where development of the Supermarket application takes place. Come be part of shaping the direction of Supermarket by opening issues and pull requests or by joining us on the Chef Mailing List.

Description

Stoplight is a build monitoring tool that is largely based off greenscreen, but is much improved and expandable. To quickly name a few, Stoplight has:

  • built-in support for Jenkins
  • built-in support for Travis-CI (http://travis-ci.org)
  • custom provider support
  • community contributions
  • full test suite
  • resuable DSL

Stoplight is designed to be displayed on large television screens or monitors. It automatically resizes to fill the maximum real estate the screen can offer.

This cookbook configures a node to run one or more Stoplight applications. The cookbook uses the Stoplight project.
